The Nuclear Engineering Technology (NET) Program is an innovative approach to addressing the nuclear industry's increasing need for a well-trained nuclear workforce. The program is a planned sequence of courses that meets the defined educational requirements of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Uniform Curriculum Guide, a curriculum to standardize associate degree nuclear training across the nation. The associate degree program prepares prospective nuclear power plant workers at the technician, maintenance, and non-licensed operator level.

Here in the Central Savannah River Area and across the country, nuclear power is experiencing a renaissance.  The NET program will prepare you for a stable, rewarding, and high-paying career in the nuclear power industry.  The program provides a foundation for jobs in nuclear plant maintenance and non-licensed operations.

.

The NET program uses a competitive admissions process. Information on the competitive admissions process is currently being updated and will be published to this site in late August 2011.  Information will be for the class that will be admitted for the fall semester 2012.

.

A new class or cohort of students is accepted to the NET program each fall.  Currently the program is offered on a full time day basis.  The program takes 5 consecutive semesters to complete (this includes a summer semester).

Interest sessions for the NET program are held to provide additional information and to allow an opportunity to ask questions. The interest sessions schedule is available by clicking the link below.  Anyone interested in the NET program is highly encouraged to attend one of the sessions. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet staff from Plant Vogtle.
