Requirements for Testing

Registration is required for all GED tests.  The testing fee is $95.00 for the complete test and $19.00 for partial tests or retakes.  Registration is in Building 300, Room 305, Monday thru Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  The testing fee is payable by money order only, made to Augusta Tech-GED.  Upon successful completion of the GED Test, the GED graduate will receive a GED diploma and a HOPE voucher for $500.  This voucher may be used to pursue further education at any Georgia accredited technical college or university.  For information on GED testing, call 771-4131.

A testing session is on a first come first serve basis and is limited to 35 individuals.

A total of 2250 points, with no single test score below 410, and have an average standard score of 450 is a passing score. Individuals who score below 410 on any test must retake that test even if the total score for all five tests is 2250 or higher. If these requirements are not met, a waiting period for retesting may apply based on the average score attained by the examinee. Individuals who do not earn 2250 points and who desire to retest must wait until the waiting period expires to retest. However, if the individual enrolls in GED preparation classes, he/she may retest when the instructor certifies that they are ready to test again.
