Continuing Education Department Hosts Free Smartphone Class
Augusta Technical College’s Continuing Education Department will host a free class on the basics of using a smartphone.
“R U Smartphone savvy?” will be held Thursday, July 14 from 6pm to 7:30pm in the 600 Building, Room 633 on the Augusta Campus. It is open to the public, but attendees must register by Wednesday, July 13. You do not have to own a smartphone to attend the class.
The instructor will go over the basic information of how to make your fancy phone work for you. Smartphone’s are fancy, high-end cellular phones that offer more advanced computing ability and connectivity than a low-end phone. Smartphone’s combine the functions of a mobile phone and a personal digital assistant. Some models serves as cameras, portable media players, GPS navigation, Wi-Fi access and more. Some examples of smartphone’s: Android, Droid, Blackberry and many more.
