Augusta hosts visiting executives on Annual Red Carpet Tour

Guests from around the world will visit the state for the 52nd year of the Red Carpet Tour scheduled for April 7-10, 2011. Terry Elam, president of Augusta Technical College and the 2011 -12 Chairman of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce serves as one of the hosts to the executives that will be touring the city,

The Red Carpet Tour began in 1959 and it draws CEOs from all over the world for a four-day look at the Georgia's economic climate. While it centers around The Masters, corporate guests travel to metro Atlanta, metro Augusta and one other region of the state each year.

The Tour kicks off with a reception and dinner at the Governor's Mansion on Wednesday. Thursday morning, the Tour travels to the Augusta to learn more about Augusta's business community before spending the day on the grounds of Augusta National Golf Course for the opening round of The Masters.   

The Augusta Metro Chamber, along with statewide partners including the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Allies and local sponsors and contributors, will be welcoming the Red Carpet Tour to Augusta.
