Augusta Technical College student receives George S. Neath 1st Choice Technical Group Scholarship
Richard Tyndall, a student in the Electronics/Computer Engineering Technology Program at Augusta Technical College, has been chosen to receive the George S. Neath 1st Choice Technical Group Scholarship valued at $500. The scholarship is funded through donations from Ron Weaver of the Technical Laboratory Associates, Inc. in honor of the late George S. Neath. Neath created 1st Choice Technical Group in 1991 to provide quality training programs to Georgia’s technical schools.
The scholarship program is administered by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and is awarded on a competitive basis to reward academic excellence and provide a financial incentive for students working towards the completion of a degree or diploma in one of the following: Industrial Systems / Applied Manufacturing, Electronics / Industrial Electrical Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology / Electromechanical, or Engineering Technology. The scholarship is specifically intended for students beginning their 2nd year in one of the above named programs who have maintained a 2.5 grade point average.
In addition to scholarships administered by TCSG, the Augusta Technical College Foundation, the non-profit arm of the college that supports Augusta Tech and its students, also offers privately funded scholarships. For information about available scholarships, contact the Office of Financial Aid.
