Medical Assisting Student Gets Scholarship
Augusta Technical College is proud to announce Doris Widener (center), a medical assisting student on the Augusta Campus, as the recipient of the Lisa Nagle Medical Assisting Scholarship. Widener received a scholarship made possible by Dr. Paul Fischer of the Center for Primary Care who has just retired from Augusta Tech’s Medical Assisting Department’s Advisory Board. Widener was also congratulated by Karon Walton (left) who is Augusta Tech’s new program director for Medical Assisting and Dr. Sandra Salazar (right) who is on the advisory board for the Medical Assisting program.
