Each year, the State of Georgia celebrates the contributions of manufacturing in Georgia with a week-long celebration called Manufacturing Appreciation Week. Technical colleges in Georgia are asked to nominate companies with a high degree of corporate resources, economic impact and overall workforce excellence. This year, Augusta Technical College nominated four companies in the CSRA.
The four companies nominated were: ASTA (Waynesboro); EZ-Go (Augusta); Kellogg’s (Augusta); and Thomson Plastics (Thomson). Dr. Lisa Palmer, vice-president Economic Development presented each company with a plaque commemorating their nomination.
