ISA Donates to Augusta Technical College
The Augusta Technical College Foundation is pleased to announce that it has received a $2,000 contribution from the International Society for Automation (ISA) Society-Savannah River Chapter for scholarships and equipment purchases benefiting the Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology program at Augusta Tech. Presenting the check to President Terry Elam on behalf of ISA was board member Cleo Raiford, Treasurer.
“We are always pleased to have industry professionals support the efforts of the college and especially a program that matches so well with ISA’s mission,“ stated President Elam.
Lance Brown of ISA also reiterated the importance of this type of support. “Helping to shape the education of future engineers and technicians is very important to ISA and we are pleased to be able to contribute to the college’s success and that of their students.”
ISA has provided over $50,000 in local scholarship support in the form of the B.T. Sorrells Scholarship since 1978 and over $80,000 in local support for other educational purposes.
ISA’s mission is to advance the competence of engineers, scientists, technicians and sales personnel involved in the manufacturing, sales and use of instrumentation systems and automation for measurement and control.
