Augusta Technical College officials last week released a preliminary list of class offerings for the new campus in Grovetown.
Set to receive students starting with the fall semester on Aug. 22, the new campus on Horizon South Parkway initially will offer only daytime classes.
The preliminary course list includes many core classes in math and English, as well as classes in business, psychology, computers, criminal justice and welding. Most of the classes will be held on just one or two days each week, with some on four days.
Julie Langham, the enrollment director for Augusta Tech's Thomson campus who temporarily will lead the Grovetown campus, said more courses likely will be added as the school gets closer to opening.
"If somebody doesn't see something immediately, continue to check," she said. Interest in the Grovetown campus continues to grow, Langham said.
"People are calling every day wanting to know about the Columbia County campus," she said. "A lot of our students probably will want to take some classes there."
Though initially told that enrollment for the fall semester would start Wednesday, Langham said it likely will be next month before potential students can sign up for classes.
Langham also didn't know last week the cost of tuition.
Those interested in taking courses at the Augusta Tech campus in Grovetown should call Langham at (706) 595-0166.
