Augusta Tech's Foundation Annual Family First Campaign Raises Over $25,000

Each year the Augusta Technical College Foundation invites faculty and staff to make a tax deductible gift in support of the college, and many respond generously.

The campaign called “Family First” is strictly a volunteer effort and the donation amount is chosen by the employee. Because the employees know firsthand how their gifts make a difference in a program or in the life of a student, they participate year after year.

This year $26,694.00 was donated from over 60% of the employees. Each donor received a gift pack that included a brass coaster with the Augusta Tech insignia.

They were also invited to an appreciation reception and enjoyed delicacies from Chick-fil-A and participated in door prize drawings from gifts donated by friends in the community.

Donors who gave over $144 were given the chance to win larger prizes that included an E-reader, an IPod and a Wing Party. A good time was held by all especially when the Chick-fil-A cow showed up for photo opportunities.

“At Augusta Tech, we understand that every donation, no matter how big or small, can have a positive impact on our institution,” said Beverly Peltier, Director of Institutional Advancement.   “Choosing to donate to Family First says that you support Augusta Tech above and beyond your everyday work,” she added.

For more information on the foundation or to donate please contact Beverly Peltier, at bpeltier@augustatech.edu or 706.771.4023.
