Augusta Technical College proud to host Science Project
Augusta Technical College in partnership with WAGT-TV hosted middle and high school teams in the first “Science Project”. The event was held on Saturday, April 16 on the college’s Augusta campus off of Deans Bridge Road.
The Science Project, a brainchild of WAGT-TV, consisted of 10 events (5 middle/5 high school) for competition this year. Schools all over the CSRA were encouraged to form teams and register. The competition events included are, Robotics, Rubber Band Vehicle, Troubleshooting Computers, Paper Airplane and others. There are over 40 teams competing for scholarships.
WAGT’s Science Project partners are ADP, EDTS, PIA and Augusta Tech. Representatives from these companies will be project managers for the contests. Bridgestone/Firestone has also agreed to join the partners and judge the Recycling Competition.
Registration started at 9am and the competitions started around 10am Winning teams took home a $1000 scholarship for their school.
