Andrew Jefferson, now Director of Continuing Education at Augusta Technical College started as a SkillsUSA advisor in 1993 when he was Electrical Construction and Maintenance Instructor. He won Advisor of the Year in 1999 and has continued his dedication to the SkillsUSA chapter at Augusta Tech.
The statewide competition was held in Atlanta and Columbus, Georgia in March. Augusta Tech SkillsUSA students traveled to the competitions and brought home medals in various competitions.
In Columbus, Georgia, Jefferson was presented the Advisor of the Year Award for 2011. He was also presented with the Outstanding Service Award for 2011 at his final SkillsUSA function.
Since becoming an administrator, Jefferson will remain supportive of the students but will no longer be an advisor.
