Augusta Tech hosts Summer Open House on all 3 campuses
Everyone was invited to attend Augusta Technical College’s Open House on Thursday, August 12 from 5pm to 6pm on any of the three campus locations in Augusta, Thomson, and Waynesboro. Hundreds of interested students and parents learned first-hand regarding programs offered at the campus, met with admissions and financial aid staff, and talked with instructors and current students.
"We wanted everyone to see what we have to offer and especially work on bridging the gap between high school and college. In addition to working with recent high school graduates, we also want to start an initiative to bring in and make non-traditional students aware and comfortable with our campus and the programs we offer," Brian Roberts, Director of Student Activities and Support Services, said.
The open houses featured a variety of programs as well as radio remotes from Perry Broadcasting that helped generate lots of visitors. Prospective students received a peek inside the programs and got details on the admission process, financial aid, and student life. Information was given from the various departments such as Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, Continuing Education, General Education and many more.
